We're Counting Down Britney Spears' Top Ten Videos! In eager anticipation of her VMA tribute I'm going to be counting down my favorite ten Britney Videos. Everyday until VMA Sunday, August 28th, I will be posting my top picks, with the number one video being revealed right before the start of the show!
9. Everytime
This clip was dramatic and statement making at the time of it's release in 2004, but looking back, it is very prophetic and introspective clip of her very personal breakdown and struggles with Hollywood fame. The video shows Spears running away from the ever intruding paparazzi, and after being hit by a camera, a concussion that leads to her untimely demise from drowning in the bathtub. Ripe with imagery that parallels some of Madonna's greatest video hits, this video while not her flashiest or danciest is certainly among one her most symbolic. Plus, when I first saw this video in middle school and the whole death by the paparazzi theme went completely over my head, I thought she looked totally hot running down the hospital hallway in nothing but a her boyfriend's shirt.
